Data stored on your device
The app stores the home records you create locally on your Apple device, including property details, equipment, maintenance tasks, documents, expenses and projects. Personal AI API keys are stored in Apple Keychain.
Integrated Home Passport AI
Home Passport AI is the default service. Questions sent to this integrated service are transmitted over HTTPS to a server operated by the developer and processed by a self-hosted Ollama model. They are not forwarded to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, xAI or another third-party AI provider.
Optional home context
Home-context sharing is off by default. If you choose to enable it, the app first displays a consent notice naming the selected AI service and describing the information that may be sent. This context may include property name and location, year and size, equipment details, maintenance and warranty dates, tasks, document counts and expense totals. Nothing from the home context is sent unless you expressly allow it.
Your own external AI provider
You may optionally connect OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Mistral AI or xAI using your own API key. Before the app activates or tests an external provider, it displays a blocking notice naming that provider and explaining that your questions will leave Home Passport AI and be sent directly to the external provider. You must expressly agree before any request is made. Changing provider switches home-context sharing off again and requires separate consent before home information can be sent.
An external AI provider is not operated by Home Passport AI. Its privacy policy, security, retention and data-use practices apply to the information you send. Processing by that provider is outside the developer’s control and responsibility. Do not connect or send data to an external service unless you accept its terms and practices.
Purchases
Subscriptions and purchase history are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The developer does not receive your full payment card details. Apple may provide transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock purchased features.
Tracking and advertising
The app does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not track users across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not sell personal data.
Retention and deletion
Local app data remains on the device until you delete the records or the app, subject to Apple device backups you control. Requests sent to external AI providers are governed by the selected provider’s retention terms. You can remove an external provider by deleting its API key in the app. To ask about server-side processing or request deletion of data that can reasonably be identified, email the contact address above.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Do not enter a child’s personal data.
Security and changes
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no system is completely secure. This policy may be updated when features, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised.
